Children’s Humanitarian Services Announces Annual Campaign to Assist School-Aged Children in Need

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Children’s Humanitarian Services Announces Fifth Annual Campaign to Assist School-Aged Children in Need

(Tacoma, Washington) Children’s Humanitarian Services, a 501 c 3 non-profit organization, announces its fifth annual campaign to assist school-aged children in need. The Children’s Emergency Food Vouchers program aims to help families who may be struggling to put food on the table.

1 in 8 children are at risk of hunger.

In 2021, 24% of households headed by single moms were food insecure.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic an increase in assistance was recognized, many families have been experiencing food insecurity, and government programs that had previously aided have ended, leaving many more families in search of alternative assistance.

Children’s Humanitarian Services is not affiliated with any organization and does not raise money for any specific agency or program. Instead, educators or administrators may contact the organization and alert them of a family in need of assistance. The organization’s board members have felt that agencies and programs that work with the youngest of school-age children may need help the most and has focused its giving on that demographic, if no special requests are received.

“We believe that all children deserve access to necessities, such as food, regardless of their financial situation, “said Michael Cady, President of Children’s Humanitarian Services. “This is why we are working on our annual campaign for the Children’s Emergency Food Vouchers program, to provide support and relief for families during these challenging times.”

Over the years, Children’s Humanitarian Services has made telephone calls to past donors and has developed bonds with not only donors but also agencies and programs in numerous communities. The organization thanks donors for their charitable giving, wherever they choose to do it.

The Children’s Emergency Food Voucher program is open to all families with school-aged children in need, regardless of their background or circumstances. Families will receive a gift card that can be redeemed at a participating store, most often Wal-Mart gift cards are purchased.
