Children's Holiday Helpers

The holidays are supposed to be happy and joyous times of year, this is sometimes not the case when families are struggling financially. Children's Holiday Helpers provides a holiday shopping experience for children to be chaperoned through a store where they can purchase some holiday gifts. Some children think of themselves, others like to shop for their parents, grandparents, or siblings. In the end these children have a positive, feel-good day, and it gives them so much joy, tears of joy are a common occurrence from children, parents, and volunteers. Thank you for being a part of this program with your financial gift.

Children's Emergency Food Vouchers

Hard times can happen to families and being able to provide food becomes a challenge. With many programs of financial aid being cut, the need becomes greater. Families sometimes don't know where to turn for assistance or pride stands in their way by asking for help.

Many of the organizations that we hear from are reporting a threefold increase in the number of families they serve.

Children's Emergency Food Vouchers can be a helping hand year-round. We have found a need during the summer months when children are not able to get lunch that they would otherwise have during the school year. We also know some students need help in paying for their school lunch. We focus our efforts in these areas and thank you for any donation you may provide.

Communities Against Bullying

Bullying has become a term that many of have come to hear on an almost daily basis. Experts say that bullying affects all youth, including those that are bullied, those that bully others, and those that witness bullying.

Bullying prevention needs to be approached from many angles and needs to involve an entire community. Bystanders that see bullying can make an enormous difference by intervening on behalf of someone being bullied.

Studies have shown that adults can help prevent bullying by talking to children about bullying and modeling kindness and respect.

About 20% of students aged 12 to 18 experienced bullying nationwide.  However, bullying does not just happen at school. Community members can use their unique strengths and skills to prevent bullying wherever it occurs. Local businesses, churches, and other non-profit organizations and community members can get involved.

There are numerous educational and awareness items that advocate getting the word out about bullying. Children's Humanitarian Services program, Communities Against Bullying educates the community on bullying prevention, and donations will be used to purchase items for use in the Community.

Children's Back to School Fund

Many of us have had times in our lives when the family budget just won't reach the monthly obligations. When this happens school supplies are at the bottom of the list. Educators notice children in their classes that can use some assistance. The Children's Back to School Fund provides funding to help children get the school year started off on a positive note and addresses needs throughout the school year as well. Backpacks, a new pair of shoes, school supplies are just a few of the items that educators may use donations to purchase. Thank you for being a part of this project with your financial gift.
