Welcome! Children's Humanitarian Services Helps Children Throughout the Year!

I would like to welcome you to the first blog post for Children's Humanitarian Services we are a non-profit corporation that exists to share the social issues that affect children in our communities. Our mission is to bring these issues to the forefront in an effort to make positive changes, and raise money to provide valuable and meaningful programs.

Currently we have three projects that will keep us busy throughout the year, starting in the fall we will do what is called Children's Holiday Helpers, this is an opportunity for children from low income families to go on a chaperoned shopping experience. The charity works with educators and other organizations that are aware of children that would benefit from this program. An organized event will take children from your community through a local store and these children will have an opportunity to shop for themselves or other family members. For many children and family members this is a heart felt experience. We thank you for your donation is helping these children.

Another project we have planned is the Children's Emergency Food Vouchers, this program currently has a few very important areas of concern to us and many others in our communities. Of course families can fall on hard times anytime of the year and unfortunately it is children that are innocent victims. An educator or other child welfare professional that sees a need can contact us for assistance. Many times it is the educator that sees the need and by providing them with an opportunity for a food gift card. Our charities president has a dedication to help pay off school lunch program debt. Like you we feel sick knowing that a child that does not have adequate funding on their books will be given a peanut butter or cheese sandwich instead of a hot lunch. Please help us to make sure no child needs to be singled out and treated differently. We also see the need to fund programs that provide lunches during the summer when school is not in session, there are children that count on their school lunch as a days main meal. We work on these food related programs year round and thank you for your financial support.

Our third project is focused on child needs when it comes to going back to school after summer break, but once again needs arise anytime during the year. The Children's Back To School Fund aims to provide funding for educators and families with backpacks, school supplies, school cloths and other necessities to assist them in being the best they can and be focused on school and not the fact they don't have the supplies they need. Thank you again for your participation is this valuable program.
